Quinta de la Rosa Wine Dinner – Tuesday 24th April 2018

Proceeding with our wine journey through the world, this time we will be hosting wines from Douro Valley, more precisely, from Quinta De La Rosa in Pinhão, owned by the  Bergqvist family.

Quinta de La Rosa is a stunning, family owned property of 55 hectares with an annual production of 85,000 litres of Port and 200,000 litres of wine.

All the ports at la Rosa are foot trodden and some of their Reserve table wines also undergo a cold maceration in the wine press (lagares) before being transferred to stainless steel fermentation tanks.

The Bergqvists produce an outstanding Port Colheita, which we will be served with dessert. Colheita means ‘harvest’ in Portuguese and by definition is a wine from a single year, aged in wood for a minimum of seven years before bottling, by which time the wine begins to take on the characteristics of a tawny.

To pair these beautiful wines we will be pairing products such as Mussels, the very popular Swordfish and a traditional Suckling Pig.

We believe that Chef as made a flavourful and typical bespoke menu that will marriage perfectly with Quinta De La Rosa wines.

The dinner will be £49.50pp for all four courses of food paired with four glasses of wine.

We will open as usual at 5.45pm and booking are available throughout the night until 9:45pm.
