We’re delighted to host award-winning Maison Chapoutier at Cigalon restaurant on Tuesday 23rd May for our monthly wine dinner. This long-standing winery (the first mentioning of the Chapoutier family goes back to 1808) adopts biodynamic and terroir-based farming techniques which initially brought global interest to the wine’s quality. Today Maison Chapoutier is a leading name in the region, making one of the finest and internationally admired wines.
As usual we’ll be serving 4 courses of food together with matching wines, all at £39.50pp. This month our chefs are making an emphasis on gorgeous seasonal fruits – juicy apricots, mouth-watering white peaches and black cherries. Expect refreshing prawn tartare and seared quail fillet to go with elegant white wines with classic notes of crisp citrus. The main course of beef onglet is paired with medium-bodied reds, one of which was awarded “Wine of the Year”. The best is saved for last – Chocolate Moelleux alongside sweet and rounded dessert wine is a dish to die for.
Maison Chapoutier brand ambassador Justin Liddle will be joining our team on the night to present the winery, Terroirs and its unique wine-making methods.
